School & Group Pottery Painting

Create & Celebrate

Their ideas. Their own ceramic keepsakes.

We bring pottery painting to schools and organizations across NYC, select Long Island communities and nearby New Jersey. Students design a mug, plate or bowl; we kiln-fire and return it.

How your visit works

01

Plan together

Share your grade levels, group size and preferred month. We’ll email project options and an estimated price. No phone call needed.

02

Create at school

Our instructor and 1–2 assistants offer painting tips, creative inspiration and hands-on guidance.

03

Fire & return

We collect and kiln-fire the pieces, then carefully pack and bring them back to your school in about two weeks.

Guidance for every grade

Activities adapted to your students’ ages and ideas.

Elementary school

Grades 3–5

Color & storytelling

Explore simple shapes, favorite colors and personal stories. Students turn a favorite animal, place or memory into a design using dots, lines and shapes. We introduce basic brush skills and invite them to share the story behind their piece.

Middle school

Grades 6–8

Pattern & personality

Use pattern and contrast to express personal interests. Students develop a design around a hobby, symbol or theme using repeated shapes and contrasting colors. We guide brush control and help them adapt the design to their ceramic piece.

High school

Grades 9–12

Independent design

Sketch an original concept and explore detail and brushwork.

Optional preparation: Your art teacher can lead 1–2 sessions on sketching or pottery history before our visit.
