The experience
What will students make and learn?
Students paint a prepared mug, plate or bowl. Guidance for grades 3–12 covers storytelling, pattern and original design. Beginners are welcome.
Can we plan this for a whole grade or through our PTA / PA?
Yes. Classes take turns, with one piece per student. Your PTA / PA can request a proposal for school review. Explore project budgets.
Your school day
How long is a visit, and who comes?
Standard sessions are 60 minutes, with about 15 minutes between classes. One instructor and 1-2 assistants normally arrive 15-30 minutes before the first session. A school teacher or staff member stays with the group. Timing and staffing details.
What does our school need to prepare?
Tables, chairs, water access, room access for setup and a familiar staff member. We bring the ceramics and painting materials; table protection and cleanup roles are agreed in advance. Preparation checklist · Cleanup arrangements.
Finished pieces & return
When do students receive their finished pieces?
Usually about two weeks after painting, on the agreed return date. Tell us your event deadline first. Return delivery details.
What if a piece is damaged, or we have care questions?
Contact us with a photo and the piece identifier if something arrives damaged. We confirm appropriate care and use for your selected ceramics. Damage and care guidance.
Pricing & school approval
How much does it cost, and what is included?
Prices start at $30–$35 per student, with a minimum charge for 20 per class. Standard ceramics, materials, instruction, firing and one agreed local return delivery are included. Whole-grade projects receive a custom quote. View pricing · Print a summary for your meeting.
What happens if students are absent or our date changes?
Tell us as soon as possible. Your proposal confirms headcount adjustments and credit or settlement terms; the minimum class charge still applies. Headcounts and credits · Date changes.
Groups, locations & celebrations
Which locations and groups do you serve?
NYC, select Long Island communities and nearby New Jersey. Schools, community groups, hospital programs and company gatherings are welcome. Share your ZIP, participants’ ages and access or support needs.
